Description:
Tricycle Gardens grows healthy food, healthy communities and a healthy economy. We cultivate a greener Richmond by establishing community gardens and urban farms by providing education and encouraging sustainability.
Volunteers will be removing the top layer of grasses and roots, digging, mixing compost into the soil, and preparing the beds to plant.
Required Attire: Volunteers MUST wear sturdy, closed-toed shoes. We recommend wearing sunscreen and/or a hat, and bringing gloves, water, and lunch. Projects will take place rain or shine.(NOTE: If you have the ability to bring shovels, spades, or a wheelbarrow to use during the project, it would be very helpful!)
Minimum age to volunteer is 10 years old with a parent/legal guardian present. Minors ages 16-17 may volunteer without a parent.
