Central VA Foodbank: Community Kitchen (Referral)

Agency: FeedMore - Central Virginia Foodbank

Description: Your help is needed in the Community Kitchen - a joint collaboration between the Central Virginia Foodbank and Meals on Wheels. The Kitchen currently provides 2,000 meals to children in after school programs in the City of Richmond, Chesterfield, Henrico and the Petersburg area. The Kitchen is also preparing meals for Meals on Wheels which serves 800-1,000 meals to the homebound every day.

Volunteers will help with meal packaging, traying, labeling and cleaning. Training will be provided to all.

*As an organization policy, we are unable to accept court mandated community service hours. Minimum age to volunteer: 16
