Description:
The mission of the YMCA of Greater Richmond is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind, and body for all. http://www.ymcarichmond.org/north_richmond The North Richmond YMCA is seeking committed high school aged teens to volunteer on a consistent basis and mentor/tutor YMCA students in grades K - 5th. Volunteers tasks may include: - Assisting with homework assignments
- Reading with or to the kids
- Playing games and helping with arts and crafts projects
- Complete other miscellaneous tasks as needed
Volunteers are asked to commit to a minimum of 8 hours a month and will be required to go through a training provided by the YMCA staff. The program will begin on October 4, 2010 Volunteers may work between the hours of 2:00pm - 6:00pm. Minimum age to volunteer: 16
