Description:
The James River is the heart of our city.. beautiful vistas, white capped rapids and home to wildlife from eagles to sturgeon. Volunteers will join James River Park staff to help clear trails, pick up litter in natural areas and maintain recreation areas. Help keep the river beautiful for us and those crazy looking sturgeon!
Volunteers should wear closed toed shoes, long pants, and work clothes. Please bring a water bottle.
*This project is sponsored by the Martin Agency and volunteers will be joined by Martin Agency volunteers.
The minimum age to volunteer is 13 years old. All volunteers ages 15 and under must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. All volunteers ages 17 and under must bring a signed Youth Waiver (below) to the project.
