Be A Team Leader
What is a Team Leader?
Leaders are the root of successful projects! Essentially, they are the team's host for the event. They set the tone, introduce people to Hands On GR and the nonprofit partner, and ensure a successful volunteer experience.
Why become a Team Leader?
- Do Good Things
- Develop leadership skills
- Meet new people
- Build that resume
- Learn about community organizations in our region
- Choose the projects you will lead!
- Fame and fortune (OK, we wish that were true!)
What is required of a Team Leader?
- An interest in building a stronger community
- Past participation in at least one Hands On Greater Richmond project
- Attendance at a Team Leader orientation
- Commitment to lead a minimum of 3 projects
including one of our National Service days
- Willingness to help orient HandsOn Greater Richmond volunteers to the nonprofit partner and provide a wrap-up at the end of the event
- Commitment to volunteer 30 additional minutes per project
to update attendance and impact.
